With the latest announcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) extension, everyone’s travel plans would once again have to be on hold or even cancelled. What if we told you that you can still travel even from the comforts of your own home?
Here are some ways you can experience the adventure and fun of travelling without stepping out of your home sweet home.

Due to the travel restrictions and border control, now is the best time to start exploring local places. You might even be pleasantly surprised at what you can experience and find right here in your home country.
Visit Tourism Selangor’s official website to check out unique places for each district in Selangor.
2. Family time

For those of you who were always busy with work and rarely had time for your family, perhaps now is the opportunity to pay more attention to your loved ones.
We suggest having a family picnic in your front or backyard. From preparing sandwiches to playing board games together, a picnic is a wonderful way to bond with your loved ones. If your family is a fan of sweet treats, tea time with cookies is perfect too!
3. Virtual tours

Oh, the wonders of the Internet. Virtual tours are one of the best things that came out of the Covid-19 pandemic. Did we tell you that most of them are free?
For art and history lovers, London’s British Museum has a tour where you can see all types of ancient artifacts and even Egyptian mummies! Besides that, Selangor’s very own Shah Alam Gallery also has a virtual tour prepared to showcase the work of local artists.
4. Try different types of food from all around the world

For cooking lovers, why not try out new recipes of traditional food from your favourite countries? Head over to YouTube where you can get all kinds of recipes for free! We suggest Tasty, Recipes are Simple and Cook with Solee for their easy and yummy recipes.
And for those who are not open to experimenting in the kitchen, you can always order food online through various food delivery apps, such as FoodPanda and Grab Food. Depending on your area, they have everything from Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese to Western and even, Mexican food.
